Matthew 21:18-22
My fig trees failed this year. Time to cut them down so they will come back from the roots and make new trees..................

Too bad you must cut them instead of simply speaking, as Jesus did.

One gets the sense of crowds and hubbub in these pictures for sure. No wonder Jesus needed to regularly withdraw for spiritual solace.

Perceptive comment, xp. I think ol’ James made a real effort to portray that press upon Jesus. He is fully human, and surely it wore on Him.
Often, though, I ponder how He spent His time on those getaways. In addition to recuperating and recharging, the text says repeatedly that He was praying. The Trinity was in high gear on those occasions!

Good Morning Dan, and glad day to all.

This will take you to the story of Tissot’s life, and some early works of a much different style. Thank you Dan, these are great to see. Surely his painful losses changed him, as grief alters each of us.

The link to Tissot's biography and the original "Life of Christ" is amazing! That will take some time to read and digest!
Thank you for this splendid offering!

men still wear dresses in some parts of the middle east
it seems the lack of pockets would be a handicap
Where would you keep your tent key and pocket knife?
